Matthew Robison

Biography

After enrolling in the Mendoza College of Business as an undergraduate student at Notre Dame, I decided to double-major in Psychology. While participating in undergraduate research in various labs, I decided I wanted to pursue a career in psychological research. I spent the next five years studying cognitive psychology with Nash Unsworth at the University of Oregon, where I earned my Ph.D. in 2018. From there, I spent two years as a postdoctoral research associate in Gene Brewer's lab at Arizona State University. From 2020-2024, I was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Texas at Arlington. I grew up in Baltimore, MD. Outside the lab, I enjoy watching and agonizing over Notre Dame football, playing golf and basketball, and watching any NBA game that happens to be on TV.
